Privacy policy

The protection of your privacy and personal data is an important concern that we are aware of in all our business relationships. We respect the confidentiality of your personal data and always act in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and this privacy policy.

1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform about how nordicbarriersystems.dk uses personal data, which information about the users of the nordicbarriersystems.dk website(s), online applications or our mobile platforms (online services) is collected, evaluated and subsequently used, disclosed to third parties or otherwise processed.

This privacy policy applies to NordicBarrierSystems. It does not apply to online services of nordicbarriersystems.dk companies that are covered by their own privacy policies or to online services operated by third parties.

2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

2.1. Data provided by you

As a general rule, the disclosure of personal data is not required when using our online services. If personal data (name, address, telephone number, style, workplace and e-mail address) is collected in connection with our online services, this is done as far as possible on a voluntary basis. For example, if you wish to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we need your e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided.

2.2. Automatically collected data

For reasons of data security and to optimize user-friendliness, we also collect non-personal data in connection with the use of our online services. For example, the internet browser used, the operating system, the domain name of the website you last visited before accessing our website, the number of visits and the average time spent on our website and the pages you have visited are stored.

Such automatically collected data is not linked to data from other sources. However, we reserve the right to subsequently verify this data if concrete signs of illegal use are brought to our attention.

2.3. Cookies and web beacons

Our online services use so-called cookies and web beacons. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer. They are small files with configuration settings that help us to make our online services more user-friendly, efficient and secure. In addition, cookies serve to implement certain user functions.

Our online services typically use “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. Sometimes they also use “persistent cookies”, which remain on your device until they expire or are manually deleted. The latter enables us to recognize your browser on your next visit. For more information about “third-party cookies”, i.e. cookies from third-party providers such as Google Inc. please refer to the privacy policies of these providers.

You can set your browser or adjust the personal settings in your mobile devices to be notified every time a cookie is sent to your device, so you can decide whether to allow a cookie on a case-by-case basis. You can also disable the acceptance of cookies, either only in certain cases or by default, and enable automatic deletion of copies every time you close your browser. However, you should be aware that some features of our online services may not be available if you disable cookies.

In addition, we use web beacons, also called page tags, to analyze the effectiveness of our website or our newsletters. For example, our newsletters and HTML emails may contain a web beacon that can determine whether emails or links sent via emails have been opened. This information helps us to improve our email service and to adjust the content to the user’s needs. Deleting an email also deletes the web beacon in question. It goes without saying that our plain text emails do not contain web beacons.

2.4. Web analytics

For the purpose of continuous functional optimization and maximum user-friendliness, some of our online services use the web analytics services and social plugins listed below. The data used for this purpose is exclusively non-personal.

Adobe Analytics: This website uses Adobe Analytics. Adobe uses HTTP ‘cookies’ and similar technologies to collect data in order to measure and understand how you use the website. This includes recording your activities such as which pages you visit and which links on the pages you click on. Egernsund Wienerberger does this to give you the best possible experience and present you with the most relevant content based on your interests. The information collected via cookies about your behavior on the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Adobe. Adobe may disclose this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process the information on Adobe’s behalf. You can prevent the use of cookies by adjusting your browser’s security settings – however, we must point out that if you disable the use of cookies when visiting the website, some functions will not work as intended and thus give you a poorer user experience. To learn more about Adobe Analytics, Adobe’s privacy policy and how to opt out of cookies, please visit: https://www.adobe.com/privacy/opt-out.html#customeruse

Google Analytics: Google Analytics of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer in order to analyze your use of our online services. Data is collected and stored on an independent server in Denmark, where it is anonymized before the collected information about your behavior is transmitted to the USA. On behalf of the operator of these online services, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of these online services, compile reports on the activities and provide other services to the website operator related to the use of the online services and internet activity. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, if you do so, you will not be able to use all functions of our online services. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and their use by Google by downloading and installing a plug-in for your browser at (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB). For further information on terms of use and privacy policy, please visit https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/dk/.

Hotjar: For an improved user experience, some of our online services use Hotjar software (http://www.hotjar.com, 3 Lyons Range, 20 Bisazza Street, Sliema SLM 1640, Malta, Europe). Hotjar allows us to measure and evaluate user activities (mouse movements, clicks, scroll height). For this purpose, Hotjar places cookies on the user’s device and the software may store user data, such as information about the browser and operating system, time spent on the website, etc. For further information about Hotjar’s data processing, please visit www.hotjar.com/privacy.

2.5 Social media and web presence

NordicBarrierSystems cooperates with various social media service providers. As part of this cooperation, your browser is automatically connected to the chosen service provider (e.g. Facebook) when you use that service. For example, your IP address, cookies and other information will be transmitted to the service provider in question if you have previously visited their website. This data transfer is prevented by us as far as possible and only takes place if you interact with the social media network. If you are logged in to the relevant social networking platform, it can link your visit to our website with your user account.

In addition, we use plug-ins (e.g. the Facebook icon) from various platforms. By clicking on the respective icon, you agree to the communication with the respective platform and the transmission of information (e.g. IP address) to the respective service provider. By activating a plugin, the respective social network receives the information that the browser has retrieved on the corresponding page of our website. This also applies if you do not have an account or are not logged in. This information (including the IP address) is transmitted directly from the browser to a server of the respective social network and stored there.

If you are logged into one of the social networks during your visit to our website, the social network can connect the visit to our website directly with your network account with the plugin activated at the same time. If you interact with the plugins, e.g. by clicking the “I like” button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is also sent directly to a server of the social network and stored there. The information can also be published on the social network and shown to your Facebook friends or Twitter followers.

The purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by the respective social network as well as your relevant rights and privacy settings can be found in the data protection information of the respective social network.

This nordicbarriersystems.dk website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from the following social networks:

Facebook plug-ins (“Share button”): You can recognize plug-ins from Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, by the Facebook logo or “share button”. For an overview of Facebook plug-ins, please click here: Http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When you use our online services, this plug-in creates a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook is thus informed that you have used our online services with your IP address. When you click the Facebook “share button” while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our online services to your Facebook profile. Facebook can then associate the use of our online services with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the online services, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and its use by Facebook. For further information, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not want to enable Facebook to associate the use of our online services with your Facebook user account, you must log out of your Facebook user account.

YouTube: We have implemented components from YouTube on this website for additional marketing purposes, such as a better reach of the specific target group, increased visibility, image building, user information and employer branding, as a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. YouTube is operated by Google, i.e. by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is an internet video portal that allows video publishers to post video clips for free and other users to view, rate and comment on them, also for free. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos, which is why complete movies and TV shows, but also music videos, trailers or videos that users have created themselves can be accessed via the internet portal. When you use one of our online services equipped with a YouTube feature, a connection to YouTube servers is established and information and data about the online services you use are communicated to the YouTube server. If the person visited is also logged into YouTube, YouTube recognizes which specific page of our website the person visited by calling up a page containing a YouTube video. This information is collected by YouTube and Google and is linked to the person’s respective YouTube account. YouTube and Google receive information via the YouTube component that the data subject has visited our website when the data subject is logged into YouTube at the same time as he or she visits our website, regardless of whether the data subject clicks on a YouTube video or not. If the data subject does not want this information to be transmitted to YouTube and Google, he or she can prevent the transmission by logging out of their YouTube account before visiting our website. For further information on the use of user data by YouTube, please refer to YouTube’s privacy policy at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

LinkedIn: On our site we link to our presence on LinkedIn. Our presence on LinkedIn allows us to present our company to the users of this network and communicate with them. The data provided directly by you and by LinkedIn will be used exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and potential customers, increasing our visibility and promoting our image building as a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in order to provide you with the most interesting information. LinkedIn is operated by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. If you are logged into your LinkedIn account and visit our company page, this can be linked to your profile. We have no influence on LinkedIn’s data collection and further processing, to what extent this happens and how long this data is stored. Please note that we have no control over LinkedIn’s terms of use, privacy or cookie policy. If you are not registered with LinkedIn, we may still receive statistical analysis of your personal data when you access our company page. We do not have access to the data stored in cookies in personalized form and therefore cannot pass it on to third parties in personalized form. For information on the legal basis for the data processing, possible recipients and any transfer of your data to a third country by LinkedIn, please refer to LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy and LinkedIn’s cookie policy at https://de.LinkedIn.com/legal/cookie-policy.

Pinterest: On our site we link to our presence on Pinterest, which allows us to better present our company to our customers and to communicate with them, as well as to increase our visibility and promote our image building as a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Pinterest is operated in the USA by Pinterest Inc, 651 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, and in Europe by Pinterest Europe Ltd, Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. When you use one of our online services equipped with a Pinterest plugin, a connection to the Pinterest servers is established and information and data about the online services you use are communicated to the Pinterest server. We would like to point out that as the provider of the online services, we do not gain any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and their use of Pinterest. Pinterest provides companies’ account operators with the function “Pinterest Web Analytics”, which provides us with anonymized statistical data about users and visitors to our account, our walls and pins. These so-called “Pinterest Web Analytics” are summarized statistics that are created based on certain actions (so-called “events”) and logged by Pinterest when users and visitors interact with our account, walls or pins and the associated content.
